This is a series I put in my portfolio when I applied for Listaháskólinn last year. I have never been that good at drawing, especially people, so I figured it would be good to get some practice. I got the idea for drawing dictators when I was browsing through an old history book. I found them to be an interesting subject, because they all had massive responsibilities and duties. I think their conscience and evilness shines through them somehow. The lines in the faces of Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Mugabe and Castro tell us horrific and tragic stories. The drawings are made on paper with a black drawing pen and marker.

My friend Frikki slipped a drawing he made of Augusto Pinochet in my pocket. We were out having a few beers and the next day I found this. Made me laugh.
